This private reference site operates independently of government. It neither stores official criminal records nor obtains records, performs official checks, or files documents for visitors.

The site identifies the offices that hold McLean County records, including the Sheriff's Records Section, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry. It also links to outside tools that may assist personal research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site

This applies with special force to sex offender registry information: Illinois law restricts how Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry data may be used, and misusing registry information against a listed person can carry criminal penalties. Registry data exists for public safety awareness, not for vigilante action, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
